TripPlot stores the trips, places, itinerary, expenses and journal entries you create so you can access them from any device. Your email is used for login, password resets, trip invitations and travel-agent quote requests you send.

We use Google Analytics to understand which features are used. Journal share links are unlisted URLs — anyone with the link can read the journal, so share carefully. Uploaded photos are stored on our server and deleted when you delete the entry or trip.

Place search uses OpenStreetMap Nominatim; your search text is sent to their servers. Nothing else is shared with third parties. Delete your trips at any time from trip settings.

iPhone and iPad app. The app uses the same account and stores the same data. It keeps a copy of your trips on your device so they work without a connection, and holds journal entries, photos and expenses you add offline until they can be uploaded. Photos are resized on your device and their location and camera details are removed before upload. Your location is used only on your device to suggest which saved place an entry is about; it is never sent to us. "Draft it for me" uses Apple Intelligence on your device; your notes are not sent to us or anyone else. Apple Maps search in the app is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.

Deleting your account. In the app, go to Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, your trips, places, plans, expenses, journal entries and photos. You can also email support@tripplot.io.
